Patients

You do not need a referral from your GP to be seen at EndoCap. Book directly via our online booking or contact the clinic.

GPs

EndoCap is led by consultant surgeon Dr. Bahir Hadi, who handles both assessment and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions, so diagnostics, endoscopy and treatment are available under one roof. Some findings may require onward referral to hospital or another relevant specialty.

Send referrals via Edifact (location number on request) or secure email. We cover:

• Gastroscopy — both oral and nasal (transnasal) — for dyspepsia, GERD, dysphagia, anaemia, vomiting, weight loss
• Colonoscopy for diarrhoea, bleeding, iron deficiency, suspected IBD or alarm symptoms
• Capsule endoscopy (CapsoVision): may be relevant for suspected small-bowel bleeding, for iron-deficiency anaemia when small-bowel investigation is indicated, and for suspected Crohn's disease after negative ileocolonoscopy without obstructive symptoms or known stricture. The risk of capsule retention is assessed individually. Where stricture is a relevant concern, a patency capsule or cross-sectional imaging may be needed first (ESGE Guideline: Small-bowel capsule endoscopy (2022)).
• SIBO breath testing (H₂/CH₄ breath test): may be considered in selected patients with compatible symptoms and relevant risk factors after individual clinical assessment. The symptoms are non-specific, and the test can support or weaken the suspicion but cannot alone prove that SIBO is causing the symptoms.
• Halitosis gas analysis (OralChroma): a supplementary measurement that can help characterise the odour profile and guide further assessment of extraoral halitosis, but which cannot alone establish the cause
• IBS assessment pathway per Rome V — with exclusion of organic causes based on clinical indication and treatment guidance
• Clinical assessment for medical and surgical treatment of GI conditions

Turnaround for referring physicians

A written summary is sent via Edifact as soon as possible after the investigation.
